DIGITAL PRINT

The term 'digital print' now covers a wide range of printing technology although we originally used the term in relation to printing machines that performed a similar function to traditional printing machines but without the need for film and plates.

The 'wide format ink jet printers' are also referred to as digital printers and we are pleased that some of the companies offering these services have joined us in digitalprint.co.uk.

Indeed we are beginning to widen our remit to include information on any kind of machine that will accept digital information and convert it into print on paper. So far we haven't taken this to include 'computer printers' on the desk top or to any real extent machines that would be described as 'colour photo copiers' but as the digital printing technologies converge I'm sure we will.

The companies featured in digitalprint.co.uk cover both providers of digitally printed products and suppliers to the digital printer.

We have plans for several other web related products including a digitalprint email club where every message would be delivered to every member.
